This is a PAC Mate Omni BX and doesn't have a Braille Display.
It's a BX, meaning it has the Braille input keyboard. In good shape, comes with the following:
* charger
* USB cable
* case (Freedom Scientific full size case with soft lining, VELCRO and large pocket
* 1 16GB Compact Flash memory card
* 1 Bluetooth CF card from Socket Communications
* one Socket P500 CF wireless adapter card
* 1 SD to CF adapter
* 1 SDHC to CF adapter
These two adapters allow your PAC Mate to use SD cards even though it only has Compact Flash slots
The unit is in prime condition serious offers only please.
It will come with the latest shipping firmware from Freedom Scientific, plus a couple freeware utility programs I have found extremely useful these are not a part of the sale as they are free software:
* Turbo Contacts Backup - I've used it to back up all my contacts data without Active Sync or a purchased backup program does really well
* TCPMP media player will work better with MP3 streams than the standard Windows Media player.
*GTimeSync keep the clock in sync when you're away from ActiveSync.
*PDFMate free software from BlinkSoft Technologies very nice for exporting pdf files to text or html
*Total Commander Free software from Freedom Scientific allows you to program PAC Mate to run your remote controls.
These are not part of the sale, they're just free to include if you want when I reset to factory defaults.
As I said the unit is in really good condition: I'm only parting with it because I need a couple of apps only found on an iOS device so must sell it to get this.
I would really prefer PayPal.
Please PM me if interested.
Thanks,
Leo
If you tried to PM me earlier I was in process of changing my email address on here so don't know if that had any effect. If interested, feel free to respond to this topic or PM me.
I am still offering the above PAC Mate with used 40-cell refreshable Braille display.
The Braille is in good order. However, there is a navrow button that corresponds with shift tab, and although it performs the shift tab, it does not depress when doing so.
The whiz wheels on the display work, but as I used the display a lot, they have worn down. What this means is occasionally they will skip.
There is no PMA or other warranty for this device.
The two cases that will come with the PAC Mate, plus the separate parts used to separate the display for your desktop use, are all in good order.
The cells on the Braille display and the whole display itself have been regularly cleaned with Isoprople alcohol and dried, the recommended method you see from FS and other manufacturers. When I was using this device, I performed said cleaning on a regular basis.
The display is from 2004.
I am only selling it as I now use my iPod for everything, and am needing to purchase some things for my Coast Guard duties.
The device won't come in the original box, though I will ensure it is wellpacked. I also do not have the CD for some reason, but will give you instructions if you need them for downloading either ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center.
However, if you would rather not sync at all, I can preinstall the freeware software for you and provide instructions on how to use it That way you may back up your contacts without Outlook and sync to an atomic clock.
I may still have the original reference guides from 2004 but those would be for the older device: this was upgraded to an Omni.
Please PM me with your offer. I do not know what is required to ship internationally so U.S. preferred, though with a bit of looking I'm sure we could work out an international if necessary.
I will see to it you get links to their online training resources and I think even they have free webinar archives for PAC Mates if you are in need of this. Also upon request will preinstall any Realspeak voices you want, but you will have to go to the FS site and listen to them first to decide which you want.
Thanks for your offer,
Leo
